Clarity Book Reviews
Over the years, I’ve amassed a collection of books that I’ve either lent out or recommended to clients. My love for books is undeniable, and during moments when I’ve sought answers or solace, they’ve been a wellspring of knowledge and comfort. Today, I’d like to share reviews of some of my go-to books, hoping that others might discover nuggets of wisdom, validation, or embark on transformative journeys through these pages. Many of these books have withstood the test of time, resonating with families, couples, and individuals alike.
Relationships are at the heart of the books I review. Whether it’s the dynamics between couples, parent-child relationships, navigating connections with someone who has a personality disorder, the complexities of loving an individual struggling with addiction, or coping with loss and the end of relationships, these texts delve into the intricacies of human connection.
Additionally, I’ll highlight a few useful workbooks covering topics like anxiety, depression, and stress. Workbooks can serve as companions to therapy or as initial steps in exploring personal issues. They empower readers to decide whether professional counseling would be beneficial.
Most of the books I discuss are readily available at the Regina Public Library, making them accessible without the commitment of purchasing. Furthermore, the library offers Libby, an app developed by Overdrive, allowing you to borrow ebooks and audiobooks. Enjoy these literary journeys on your computer, tablet, smartphone, or eReader.
Remember, these reviews reflect my perspective on the value each book holds. Your experience may differ, and that’s perfectly valid. However, it’s essential to recognize that while books offer insights, they cannot replace the personalized guidance of counseling.
